In fact it’ll be warmer in the heart of Russia at St Petersburg!

After enjoying several days of hot sunny weather recently, the Met Office says that temperatures are set to fall away tonight and not really recover.

In fact, tomorrow (Saturday May 14) is due to hit a maximum of 13degC in the chilly north wind - a temperature we were trying to sleep in during several nights this week.

Sunday may be a degree or two warmer.

Although it will be cooler than of late (in fact more like the average temperature for May) there should be sunny intervals over the weekend and the UV index will remain fairly high.

The forecast for next week is much of the same as the northerly wind continues to pull down cold air across the country, with the possibility of showers midweek.
