WARNING GRAPHIC CONTENT: Buzzard eats pigeon in Horsham town centre

The bird of prey, thought to be a buzzard, had dragged its victim below advertising hoardings near Wilkinson and Shelley Fountain.

In footage that some viewers may find distressing, the bird is perched on top of its prey, attacking the pigeon every few seconds.

The rare sight, particularly unusual in urban areas like town centres, caused small crowds to stop and watch.

Many passers by were captivated by the gruesome sight, with many filming the uncommon bird of prey.
