HUNDREDS of car enthusiasts gathered on the Stade Open Space recently to admire the vintage cars and vehicles selected to take centre stage at the annual Classic Car Show.
From Austins to Triumphs a variety of models were on show, with one dating back to 1915.
Out of nearly 200 cars on display only six were chosen as the favourites of the judges, who included prominent local figures such as the Mayor, Councillor Kim Forward, Deputy Mayor, Councillor Alan Roberts and Alex Lester from BBC Radio Two.
Cllr Kim Forward, named a BSW TW - 10 three-wheeler motor dating back from 1936 as her favourite.
She said: “It was great to see the Stade Open Space filled with beautiful classic cars and many people enjoyed the spectacle.”
Ion Castro, spokesman for Hastings Week, said Happy Harold, the town’s own trolleybus, dating back to 1928, provided rides to the two-day car show.
He said: “So many classic cars turned up on Sunday that there was an overflow into Rock-a-Nore car park.”
