THE council is to run a six-week consultation on potential sites for development and protection, and is asking for local people’s views.
Between February and April this year, Hastings Borough Council consulted on an early draft of the Development Management Plan, which set out potential development sites and the detailed policies needed to manage such development.
Cllr Peter Chowney, lead member for regeneration, said: “Planning issues and the development of the borough are of great interest to residents. Several new sites were suggested during this consultation, both for development and protection and some new planning policies were proposed.”
“We now want to consult with local people about these new issues before we make a decision, so we would like to hear your views. Please get involved and tell us what you think.”
A focused consultation on these additional sites and policy issues only will run from today (July 6) to 4pm on August 17.
