BUCANEERS gathered outside the town hall today in a show of support for Hastings and Bexhill’s City of Culture 2017 bid.
Pirate Day is one of the biggest events in Hastings’ calendar so its organiser Roger Crouch decided to assemble as many as possible this afternoon to promote the area as part of the capital of culture bid.
Hastings and Bexhill are up against the likes of Plymouth, Aberdeen, Portsmouth and Southampton.
Four areas will be shortlisted this summer and the winner will be announced in November this year.
