Shoppers stopped to admire the group, with singer Chris Hutchinson acting as conductor.

The event, to kick-start Hastings Week, also saw girls from the 13th Hastings Brownies and Guides taking part, who sang Let it Go, from the hit movie, Frozen.

The singers received a huge round of applause from the audience at the end.

Mum Kelly Cooper, whose nine-year-old daughter, Jasmin, and five-year-old daughter, Saffron, sang in the children’s choir, said: “I thoroughly enjoyed the performance. It was put together very well. My girls and all of the children worked very hard and it was great to see the young and older generations coming together.”
