A man and woman from Bexhill were travelling along Marley Lane towards the A21 at about 8am on Wednesday 8 July in a white Vauxhall Astra van when they began to be followed by a silver Vauxhall Astra.

After they passed the riding stables close to Powdermill Lane, the silver van - which had two men in it - drove into the back of the white van a number of times.

Both vans stopped and the drivers argued before one of the men got into the driver’s seat in the silver van and rammed the white van for a fourth time.

The two men then drove off in the white van.

The woman suffered minor back and neck injuries as a result of the white van being hit.

PC Gareth Freeston said, “We need to speak to anyone who was in Marley Lane and saw the vans being driven after each other.

“We would also like to speak to anyone who saw or heard the confrontation between the drivers or who has any information about what happened.”
