Update: Westfield player ‘out of coma’

The Observer understands a Westfield FC III player who collapsed during training last night (October 4) is now out of his coma.

Ricki Skinner’s team-mates rushed to his aid when he lost consciousness during the training session on the playing fields at Claremont School in Ebden’s Hill, St Leonards.

South East Coast Ambulance service confirmed he had been taken to the Conquest Hospital and Westfield FC later confirmed he was in a coma.
