UPDATE: Police appeal for witnesses after teenage cyclist is seriously injured in crash

Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenage cyclist was seriously injured after being in collision with a car in Hastings.

The 14-year-old boy from Hastings was cycling his BMX in Braybrook Road with the junction of Lower Park Road on Monday (March 27) at 9.10pm when he was in a collision with a Vauxhall Corsa driven by a 22-year-old woman from Hastings.

The cyclist suffered a serious head injury and was flown by air ambulance to the Southampton General Hospital where he is in a serious condition. The driver was uninjured.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to email [email protected] or ring 101 quoting Operation Jaywick.
