Part of the A21, which was closed this morning due to flooding, is not expected to re-open to traffic until at least 4pm today (Tuesday, January 5).
The road is currently shut between the A2100 at John’s Cross and the A28 at Westfield.
Highways England had initially said the road would reopen between 1.15pm and 1.30pm.
However this time has now been revised to between 4pm and 4.15pm.
The road is closed in both directions and diversions are in place.
