The services in St Mary’s Church this Sunday will be Holy Communion at 8am and Evening Prayer at 6pm.

On Thursday week, August 7, Ann Barker will be holding the sixth of her very successful series of coffee mornings to raise funds for the improvement and maintenance of St Mary’s Community Hall. Please make a note of the time and place: 10am till noon, at Stocks Farm Oast. Once again Richard and Sheila Corke will be generously donating a jointed and bagged lamb (ready for your freezer) to be raffled: tickets will be on sale on the morning, or by ringing Ann beforehand (01424 883515). There will also be another raffle, with good prizes.

Police Community Support Officer Andrew Smith has recently been appointed to look after the Brede Valley area, which includes Udimore. There will no doubt be opportunities to meet him at future Parish Council meetings, the next of which is on Wednesday evening, September 17.
