Two Hurst Green men arrested after cannabis found at farm

Two men from Hurst Green were arrested after police raided a farm nearby and found '˜a number of' cannabis plants yesterday morning (Tuesday, August 2).

Officers executed a drugs warrant at a farm in Silverhill where a number of growing cannabis plants were discovered, a police spokesman said.

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service officers were called to assist at the scene to ensure that the environment was safe for investigators to work in.

Two men, aged 33 and 27, both from Hurst Green, were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the production of a controlled drug of Class B – cannabis.

Both men have been bailed until September 13, pending further enquiries.
