Two-car collision blocks traffic lights

THE occupants of both vehicles were taken by ambulance to the Conquest Hospital at Hastings after a two-car collision blocked the London Road-King Offa Way junction.

Police diverted vehicles away from the traffic-light accident black-spot for about an hour.

Saturday morning's accident happened outside Bexhill fire station. Firefighters who heard the noise of the impact between the Ford Ka and the Vauxhall Astra were first on the scene and rendered first-aid until an ambulance arrived.

The injured were reported to be suffering from bruises and suspected whiplash.
