A PROBLEM-HIT road will host a series of street meetings in a bid to tackle crime and anti social behaviour.

Devonshire Road has one of the highest crime rates in town and now PC Debbie Heneke and PCSO Lucy Paffett have decided to step up efforts to make it a safer place for local residents.

Throughout June, PC Heneke and her team will be holding regular street meetings at random times both in the day and during evenings and they want residents to take the chance to come and meet them and raise any concerns.

PC Heneke said: “This will provide a visual police presence so that any residents can come and talk to us.”
