Tribute to daniel

BRAVE Wick teenager Daniel Beddows has died, aged 17, after a lengthy battle with neuroblastoma, a form of cancer.

Daniel, of Greenfields, had been ill for around two years, and his parents, Jackie and Colin, sister Leanne and her fianc Chris this week thanked the doctors and nurses who had cared for him during that time.

Mr and Mrs Beddows added: "Everyone who met Daniel has a story to tell, as he was one of life's true characters. He was loved by and will be missed by all."

Just four months ago, Daniel had a dream trip to Manchester United's training ground, where he met many of the players, including his favourite, England captain David Beckham.

The funeral service takes place at St James the Great Church, Littlehampton, at noon on Friday, January 10, and everyone who knew Daniel is welcome to attend.

Any donations given in memory of Daniel will go to the charities which helped him and his family, the Snowdrop Trust, Chestnut Tree House and the Neuroblastoma Society.

Inquiries about the funeral should be made through Hollands funeral directors, telephone 01903 713939.
