Tree falls onto flats in Crawley

A neighbour has described hearing an enormous crash as a tree fell onto a block of flats in Three Bridges.

The tree fell at around 6.45am today (October 28) in Elmcroft Court as high winds buffeted the town.

A neighbour said: “I heard it at about 6.45 this morning, an enormous crash into the back of the block.

“I got dressed. It woke up the people in the other block. They were all looking out of their windows.

“The guy who lived there was up when the tree went through so it came through his ceiling while he was in there.”
