Passenger taken ill on train between Chichester and Havant

A passenger was taken ill on a train between Chichester and Havant this afternoon (Monday, November 2).

According to Southern Rail, the line towards Havant was blocked at 4.50pm, with services subject to delays and cancellations through this area.

Southern said, at 5.10pm, that emergency services confirmed the person was safe and 'trains are going to be able to run again very shortly'.

In a further update at 5.20pm, a spokesperson said: "Services are all on the move between Chichester and Havant.

"Some services may be delayed and subject to late notice alterations so please allow extra time to complete your journey."
