Motorcyclist seriously injured in hit-and-run in Northiam

Police are seeking witnesses after a motorcyclist was seriously injured in a hit-and-run in Northiam.

The incident involving a Harley Davidson and a newer style black Ford Fiesta occurred on the A28 at Northiam, at the junction with New Road, about 12.50pm on Wednesday (August 26), police said.

The motorcyclist – a 63-year-old man from Romney Marsh – sustained serious leg injuries and was taken to Conquest Hospital for treatment; the Fiesta failed to stop at the scene.
