Motor scooter rider injured in Bexhill collision on A259

Part of a main road has been closed following a collision near Bexhill this morning (Wednesday, May 27).

The incident involved a motor scooter on the A259 in Barnhorn Road.

A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance Service said: “Ambulance crews are in attendance at the scene, along with the air ambulance, following reports of a road traffic collision involving a motor scooter on the A259 Barnhorn Road, reported to us at approximately 10.10am today.

“One patient is being assessed at the scene.”

According to the AA, the A259 is closed both ways from B2182 Cooden Sea Road to the Lamb Inn Pub.

The air ambulance arrived just after 11am.
