A road in an East Sussex village will be closed from tomorrow (Monday, September 4) for five days, South East Water has said.

The company said The Street in West Firle by Glynde will experience the planned closure until Friday, September 8, so a new water supply pipe can be installed.

A company spokesperson added: "Thanks for bearing with us, we're really sorry for any inconvenience caused.”

A road by Hailsham will also be closed for more than 10 weeks for ‘essential maintenance work’ from South East Water, while a village road by Eastbourne is set to be closed for five days while a new water meter is put in place.
