A man has died after a crash in Hastings.

At about 9.05pm yesterday (Thursday, May 7), a westbound motorcyclist collided with two pedestrians who were in the road on the A259 at White Rock, Hastings.

One of the pedestrians, a 77-year old man from Newhaven, suffered serious injuries.

He was taken to the Conquest Hospital, Hastings, but died in the early hours of the morning.

The motorcyclist, a 22-year-old St Leonards man, and the other pedestrian, a 90-year-old Lewes woman, suffered slight injuries and were not detained in hospital.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to contact them via or by calling 101, quoting Operation Alvis.
