A21 closed at East Sussex border after lorry overturns

The A21 has been closed in both directions on the Kent and East Sussex border due to a collision involving an overturned lorry.

Kent Police are on scene at the collision, which is affecting traffic in both directions between the A268 near Flimwell and the A262 near Lamberhurst.

Highways England said a full accident investigation is currently taking place.

Traffic is being diverted via local roads, via Wadhurst (the B20099) and Lamberhurst (the B2100 and B2162).

The road has been closed for a number of hours.

AA Traffic reports say the vehicle involved is a dustbin lorry.

There is slow traffic in the area, as well as congestion through Goudhurst and Hawkhurst.
