It was behind a fence and did not pose a risk to those using the ground.

Giant Hogweed was also found close to a public right of way through the grounds of Gray-Nicolls in Station Road.

The plants have been removed by volunteers.

Giant Hogweed, which can grow up to five metres tall, has left a number of children in hospital after coming into contact with the plant in incidents across the UK.
