Top bridge award for Kay

Bexhill bridge player, Kay Batting recently received the prestigious Dimmie Fleming award for services to bridge at the AGM of the English Bridge Union.

The awards are made to publicly recognize those who have worked hard promoting bridge locally at county and club level.

Kay has been on the Sussex management committee for over 20 years (although she retired this year), during which time she was a long serving delegate to the English Bridge Union.

She was chairman of the Wilton Bridge Club for nine years as well as serving in other positions on the Wilton committee.

She has also run a number of teaching weekends and was always ready to help lesser players improve their game.
