More than 6,500 people have signed a petition to reverse the decision to close the university campus in Hastings.
Aran Macdermott started the petition on Wednesday (March 9), after it was announced the University of Brighton Hastings campus will be closing in two years.
Now 6,571 people have signed the petition.
“I am a local resident of Hastings and have seen the huge positive effect the University has had for students, local people and how other people view our town,” Aran wrote on the petition.
“I felt compelled to start this petition after attending the student’s meeting with the Vice-Chancellor and hearing the direct impact this decision has already had on so many people.”
