Police are looking for a thief who took the motor for a leaf blower from a parked van in St Leonards.

At 10.15am on Wednesday (June 17) a workman left his blue Ford Transit van unattended in Battle Road, St Leonards, while he unloaded his tools into a garden on the other side of the road.

When he returned to his van at 11am the motor for his orange and white, STHL, make leaf blower, model number BG-86CE, had been stolen. The blower tube was not attached.

The van was parked, offside to the kerb, facing towards Sedlescombe Road North.

PC Mitchell Humby said: “As this was a busy street during daylight hours, we hope passers-by may have noticed someone take this unusual item. If you saw what happened or have any other information, please contact us via 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call us on 101, quoting serial 518 of 17/06.”
