Thanks a million says hospital
The cancer day unit at St Richards Hospital, in Chichester, has soared past its first major milestone by raising £1m.
Staff and volunteers celebrated with actor Joe McGann, who went back to the hospital to congratulate those who helped achieve it. The actor officially launched the 3m appeal in September 2004.
He told staff:" I can see this has been a fantastic community so far and I rfeally look forward to seeing the cancer day unit up and running soon for the benefit of local people."
