Teenager flown to hospital after stabbing

A TEENAGER was flown to hospital after being stabbed in the chest in broad daylight.

The 18-year-old man received a stab wound to his upper chest during an incident in Cave Road, St Leonard’s-on-Sea, around 4.45pm last Friday (20 July).

He was taken by air ambulance to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton for treatment.

The injury was not described as serious and doctors discharged him later that day.

Detective constable Brett White, of Hastings CID, said: “We believe this wasn’t a random attack and that the victim may have known the man who injured him.

“We would like to appeal for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with information which may assist us with our enquiries.”
