Teenage cyclist seriously hurt in crash

A 14-year-old boy was airlifted to hospital following a crash in Hastings last night (Monday, March 27).

A car was in collision with the boy’s bicycle at around 8.15pm in Lower Park Road.

Sussex Police closed off the road and the air ambulance was scrambled to the scene, landing in Alexandra Park.

The 14-year-old sustained a serious head injury in the crash and received emergency treatment at the scene before he was airlifted to Southampton General Hospital.
