Technology and jewellery stolen in Hastings burglary

Jewellery and expensive electrical equipment were stolen from a house in Hastings during a burglary.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the break-in in Dunclutha Road, which took place between 9am and 3.15pm on Friday, April 10.

A number of items were stolen including a black Xbox 360, a Acer Aspire laptop, a black Motorola PDA device, a Samsung 10” tablet, a iPod touch, two Samsung Galaxy mobile phones, a pair of Ray-Ban Sunglasses, a white gold men’s wedding ring, a gold link chain with a sovereign attached, a gold 10 bar bracelet, a pair of diamond earrings, a gold solitaire ring and a war medal given to the victim by his father.

A number of bottles of alcohol were also stolen.

DC Mark Waughman said: “We would like to speak to anyone who may have any information to that can help with our enquiries.

“We are also encouraging residents to register their property for free on the world’s largest property database to make it easier for items to be traced back to their owners if they are stolen.”

Sussex Police has launched Operation Magpie to target burglary across Sussex.
