Rick Cowlard, 34, of Cornwallis Gardens, found the wraps and a bottle of methadone lying by a bench.

He said: "It's disgusting. Imagine if a child had picked that up.

"I saw a syringe on the ground yesterday.

"There are drug deals that

happen round here every single day.

"The police may have arrested a few people but this is still going on."

Mr Cowlard alerted police who took the items away for examination.

Chief Insp Taylor said: "This may have been a result of people dumping drugs after the raids. It is being investigated."
