Summer events atSt Michael’s Hospice

There’s no shortage of fun things to do at St Michael’s Hospice, St Leonards on Sea, this summer and three events are on the horizon.

Next weekend heralds the monthly coffee morning on Saturday (June 6) 10.15-12noon and on Sunday (June 7) the Hastings branch of the Halifax present a family friendly Big Lunch 2-5pm.

The afternoon will be jam-packed with entertainment including Phoenix Flyers who will run a cheerleading workshop, a magician, face painting, biscuit decorating, tombola, children’s races and treasure hunt. Entry is free and there will be a complimentary afternoon tea on arrival.

Amanda Hildreth, Community Fundraiser said: “We’re so grateful to the Halifax for choosing to support the Hospice. Their Big Lunch promises to be great fun for all the family on what will hopefully be a beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon and it’s definitely not one to miss!”

The annual St Michael’s Hospice Strawberry Fair takes place on Wednesday June 10, 1-3pm.

The event, organised by Hospice Activities Coordinator, Sharon Hayward with the help of Day Services staff and volunteers is an event for the whole family to enjoy.

Help raise funds for St Michael’s Day Services with live entertainment, scones, delicious strawberries, stalls and children’s games in the grounds of the Hospice.

“We are proud to announce that this will be our 16th Strawberry Fair. Every year this event is greatly anticipated and supported by our local community. We look forward to seeing old and new faces, and enjoying a lovely afternoon”, said Jay Godding, Day Services Manager.
