Students from six branches of the free-to-attend College (Hastings, Eastbourne, Portsmouth, Southampton, London and Farnborough) took part in the 36-hour challenge which put their fitness, problem-solving and communication skills to the test.

Held at the London Military Preparation College, Croydon, the challenge gave the young people the opportunity to gain practical experience of life in the Armed Forces. The military hopefuls took part in a wide range activities, including a camouflage and concealment exercise, shelter building, field-cooking and map reading. Setting up an overnight base, the students also took part in a night recce patrol and had the chance to meet serving soldiers from the Princess of Wales’s Royal Regiment.
