STRIKE ACTION

Services provided by local councils across East Sussex are affected today (March 28) by strike action.

The strike has been called by Unison in protest against proposed changes to the Local Government Pension Scheme.

Lewes District Council has apologised for any reduction in services as a result of this action.

09:00am - all refuse collection and street sweeping services will not operate today.

Kerbside recycling collections will probably only be operating in Newhaven.

Recycling sites and litter bin collections will also be affected.

It is hoped to complete today's refuse collection next Tuesday with the normal round.
