Age UK East Sussex has extended an invitation to their ‘fabulous’ Tea Dance to be held at Pett Village Hall next Wednesday, October 28, 2.00-4.00pm.

The event is organised to raise vital funds for Age UK East Sussex to support its services helping local older people - particularly those who will be feeling lonely or isolated this winter.

A spokesperson for Age UK said: “Visitors to the Tea Dance can enjoy a delicious cream tea, dance or sing the afternoon away to music from Steve Sinatra performing Rat Pack classics and chance their luck in the raffle with lots of fabulous prizes to be won!

“All are welcome to what will be a really fun and sociable afternoon. Come on you own or invite friends and family.

“We look forward to seeing you there!”

Tickets cost £6 and are available from: 50 Robertson Street, Hastings; The Butcher Shop, Pett Road and the Age UK East Sussex charity shop, 81 The High Street, Battle.

Age UK East Sussex is an independent, locally-focused charity led by the needs and aspirations of those in later life.

The charity recognize that there are challenges for people as they age, and that social isolation, poverty, and age discrimination all impact on people’s quality of later life. It says that East Sussex has the highest levels of deprivation of all the counties in the South East and their vision is that East Sussex will be a county where people in later life will flourish.
