Step up to help charity in 2018

Local charity, The Sara Lee Trust is inviting runners and supporters to join their half marathon team in 2018 and help raise much needed funds for the charity.

The Trust is aiming to raise £5,000 to help support an additional fifty people across Hastings and Rother next year, and they need help to achieve this goal.

The Trust supports over 600 local people each year, who are affected by cancer and other life threatening illnesses through the provision of free psychological and therapeutic support.

They are also the dedicated provider of end of life counselling and complementary therapy services to patients of St Michael’s Hospice, St Leonards on Sea, and the Rye, Winchelsea and District Memorial Hospital.

By joining ‘Team Sara Lee’ and taking part in the Hastings half marathon, which takes place on Sunday, March 18, 2018, runners will receive fundraising support from start to finish, a Sara Lee Trust running vest and a cheer team on the day. There will also be a team fundraising page on JustGiving, which participants will be able to share with friends without having to worry about individual targets.
