St Michael’s Hospice starts the new year on a high

SUPPORTERS of St Michael’s Hospice raised thousands through fundraising events over the Christmas period.

The Here comes Christmas concert performed by Molly Townson’s Cantabile took place in St Augustine’s Chapel, and raised £424 for the hospice.

Amanda Hildreth, St Michael’s Hospice community fundraiser, said: “As always, the concert was very well-received and provided an enjoyable evening full of carols and delightful music - not forgetting the wine and mince pies.”

The St Michael’s Hospice Hastings and St Leonards Support Group’s annual Christmas Fayre drew huge crowds who snapped up many festive gifts and bargains, raising a grand total of £7,597.

And looking ahead into 2012, the hospice welcomes the support of runners, swimmers and cyclists in its jubilee year.

For those taking part in the Hastings Half-Marathon or Bexhill Triathlon, who decide to join the St Michael’s Hospice team, the fundraising team will supply t-shirts, running vests, personalised sponsorship forms, and will also provide help setting up a JustGiving page.
