A CHARITY has relaunched a drop-off point for residents to donate their unwanted goods.
St Michael’s Hospice relaunched its donation centre recently, based in Drury Lane on the Ponswood Industrial Estate in St Leonards.
Hastings MP Amber Rudd was on hand to mark the opening and came prepared with a selection of donations. She said: “I am delighted as always to support St Michael’s Hospice. This is an excellent new initiative to get maximum value for the goods that residents want to donate.
“It will enable the retail managers to ensure that the right goods are in the right shops at the right time. It’s a professional approach to getting the best return for the donations.
“The whole community, I know, wants the best outcome for St Michael’s Hospice and this is an interesting new way to achieve that.”
Residents will be able to drop off larger and more valuable items, such as sofas, cabinets and dining tables, to help raise valuable funds.
If anyone has any items which they would like to donate, call the donation centre on 01424 717202 to arrange an appointment. It is open 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday.
