Parents are being told not to worry after police were at a school in St Leonards this afternoon (Wednesday, May 18).

Police were called to Silverdale Primary Academy after an incident at about 1.30pm, but the school did not wish to comment on why.

The school sent a message to parents saying: “Whilst police have been on-site there is no cause for concern. Thank you.”

Sussex Police has been contacted for comment.
