All year groups at Hollington Primary Academy have been involved in creating a Walkway of Remembrance along the school’s main corridor.

Pupils, staff and visitors can walk under a canopy of individually crafted poppies as they move down the passage.

The installation was conceived by design and technology subject leader and year six teacher, Carolyn Harvey.

She said: “The children have put a lot of time and effort into creating this walkway.

“Using a general template, each class utilised different mediums to produce this thought-provoking and moving tribute to our veterans.”

The poppies are accompanied by a verse form the iconic poem, For the Fallen, by Robert Laurence Binyon.
