A man from St Leonards has been sentenced to 28 months in prison for three burglaries in the borough
James Cannon, 37, of Church Road, pleaded guilty to the burglaries at Lewes Crown Court on November 19.
Two of the burglaries happened during the evening of Tuesday 19 August at Marina, St Leonards and the third on Saturday August 16 in Lower Park Road, Hastings.
Cash, bank cards, jewellery and electrical items were stolen.
Detective sergeant Jason Tuck said: “The effect of a burglary upon a victim can be long lasting. I’m pleased that a custodial sentence has been delivered to James Cannon for these three separate incidents.”
Meanwhle in a separate incident not related to Cannon, police are appealing for witnesses to a burglary at a house in Park View between 3pm and midnight on November 19.
The glass in the back door had been smashed and the lock has been broken.
A number of items of jewellery were stolen including a gold sapphire and diamond engagement ring, a gold Edwardian bangle and various pairs of earrings.
