SOUNDWAVE BLASTING OUT

Soundwave 2007, the week long audio festival (until Sunday 18th February) is well underway with a host of free workshops for young people aged 11 '“ 18 years taking place across the Lewes District.

The festival culminates this weekend with the launch of Soundwave 87.8fm on Friday 16th February and a live gig from the fabulous Starfish youth music on Saturday.

The three-day Soundwave 87.8fm broadcast will feature highlights and recordings from the festival with local personalities and top professionals taking part!

Don't miss DJ Task and his world music phenomenon's; Richard Norris with a host of top tracks from unsigned bands; highlights from the Newhaven Fort live gig; and hear special guest Cllr Marina Pepper '“ Chairman, Lewes District Council, revealing her personal music tastes!

Other highlights include the Starfish gig live on air 7pm, Saturday 17th from St Mary's Hall, Christie Road, Lewes featuring bands '“ The Honeycuts, Surrogate Plums, Red Skies Ebony, J'Adore Sycamore and Sweet Addiction '“ tickets 2 on the door.
