It has been two years since the last Sport Relief event along Littlehampton’s seafront. And on Sunday, March 23, it will be back, bigger and better than ever, with organisers hoping 1,000 people will take part.

The fun run’s start point will be between Harbour Park and the Windmill Entertainment Centre and it is open to all ages and all levels of fitness, from super sprinters to willing walkers.

They can choose to run one, three or six miles.

Joint organisers Andy and Bren McTaggart said: “This is the fourth time the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile has come to Littlehampton so let’s don the headband, get training and show the rest of the country what we can do.

“There will be plenty of activities on the day, so don’t forget to rope in your mates, family, boyfriend, girlfriend and colleagues, too.”

This is the fourth Sport Relief event in Littlehampton since 2008.

More than 600 people took part in the last Sport Relief run along Littlehampton’s seafront, in 2012.

Inspire Leisure is supporting this year’s effort, providing rowing and cycling machines.

Money raised will help some of the world’s poorest countries.
