Lewes Bonfire celebrations took place yesterday evening (Thursday, November 5), despite the pouring rain.
The wet weather did nothing to dampen the spirits or deter the crowds as thousands of people lined the streets enjoying the fiery displays.
The societies marched through the town in their individual processions, tossing flaming barrels and crosses in the River Ouse and holding services of remembrance at the War Memorial. They then joined the Grand Procession.
