Sightsaver’s headquarters in Haywards Heath to become luxury residential accommodation

Following successful pre-approval for change of use from offices to housing at the Bolnore Road site, Sightsavers has been able to agree a deal with developer Rosehart Properties Limited and the Storm Group of Companies.

They have submitted plans to redevelop the impressive Victorian building into eight town houses.

The former kitchen and laundry buildings will be offered for sale jointly by Savills and Mansell McTaggart as separate, individual residential redevelopment opportunities. 

Both buildings present an excellent opportunity to create substantial detached family homes with detached garages and private landscaped gardens.

Situated a mile from Haywards Heath main line station and with access to the Town Centre’s shopping and restaurant facilities, Grosvenor Hall and its surrounding buildings are bordered to the south by Reading Wood and to the north by Beech Hurst Gardens. 

It was built in the late 19th Century as a convent and girls orphanage for the Community of the Holy Cross prior to being converted into offices in 1980.

The planned converted houses will retain many of Grosvenor Hall’s beautiful architectural features and a Master Landscaping Plan has been produced to enhance the mature garden setting of the houses to two acres of communal gardens, whilst providing each house with its own private walled garden.
