Peter Sutcliffe, dubbed ‘The Yorkshire Ripper’ was a serial killer who is currently serving a life sentence for murdering 13 women between 1975 and 1980.

Tate, and co-author Chris Clark’s new book – Yorkshire Ripper: The Secret Murders - uncovers evidence hidden in cold-case files showing that blunders in the investigation led to the killer escaping justice for attacks not only in Yorkshire and Lancashire but across the whole country.

Even more shockingly, they claim that these blunders led to three innocent men paying the price for Sutcliffe’s evil crimes behind bars.

In the course of the evening, Tate will also reveal the true motive for the Ripper’s sickening murders claiming that he manipulated his way out of his prison cell and into the more comfortable regime of a psychiatric hospital.

Museum Curator Joel Griggs says: “The discoveries that Tim has made are genuinely shocking and compelling. We’re very excited to welcome him on stage to present his investigations into this fascinating case.”

The True Crime Museum is based in 300 square metres of caves at Palace Avenue Arcade, White Rock. The attraction has been open for just over a year now and includes reconstructions of famous crime scenes and a surround sound cinema.
