AROUND 20 Beavers, Cubs and Scouts braved the rainy weather by riding on skateboards, bikes and scooters to raise money for a Scout in Kenya.
Members of the 3rd Hastings (Holy Redeemer) Scout group rode from the Bo Peep in St Leonards to the pier and back again - a distance of around three miles - as many times as they liked for four hours.
The keen youngsters were raising money for 22-year-old Peter Omondi, who is currently studying for a degree in agriculture as part of a Guardianship programme.
The programme means he has no parents and has to live and be supported by another family.
Cash raised will help support him during his studies.
