PRIMARY school pupils have been learning about African culture to mark Black History Month.
Artist Monique Jackson was special guest at Robsack Wood Primary School where classes spent time debating the idea of citizenship.
Meanwhile, pupils from years four, five and six designed a collage about black culture set against a Hastings backdrop.
Headteacher John Benwell said: “The children really enjoyed the chance to be creative.
“The classroom discussions provoked insightful, perceptive questions from the pupils, as the school sought to promote diversity and remind the children to embrace different people and cultures.”
And at St Paul’s Primary, youngsters got into the swing of Black Awareness Month with an African dance display.
