Saturday - turbo challenge

A TEAM of nine firefighters from East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (ESFRS) will take part in the Turbo Challenge' on Saturday, March 10.

It takes place from 10am-4pm at Ravenside Retail Park.

The firefighters are aiming to raise money for the Fire Service's Benevolent Fund and the Children's Fire and Burn Trust this weekend.

The Turbo Challenge involves nine riders on three stationary bikes with teams of three swapping throughout the six-hour period. The firefighters are inviting the public to support them.

A prize, supplied by Halfords, will be given to a member of the public who guesses the amount of mileage covered in the six hours.

People who are unable to attend on Saturday but wish to support the firefighters with a donation should make a cheque payable to FSNBF (Fire Service National Benevolent Fund) and send it to: Mark Hobbs, Care of Bexhill Community Fire Station, Beeching Road, Bexhill, TN39 3LG.

Donations will be split between the Benevolent Fund and the Children's Fire & Burn Trust.
