Organiser Graham Woodcock dressed up as Rudolph and was joined by five costumed friends last Wednesday following a route along the A229.

Along the way they stopped off to meet pupils at Sandown Primary School on the ridge and were cheered on by children at Guestling Bradshaw Primary as they went past.

Graham said: “The walk took around five and a half hours with the stops and we got a very good reception along the route.

“I had already taken part in the Pier to Pier walk, with Brett McLean, to raise money for the hospice and felt it was time to do another walk.

“I would like to thank the people who took part in the walk and everyone who made a donation.”
